Sunday saw match one in the 12 match Market Rasen Angling Association summer series of the sponsored Jackson Buildbase Aggregate Shield and also the Ted Mann Cup.
13 anglers turned out for the 8.30am draw and then fished the six hour match.
Weather conditions for the match where dry with a southerly wind and sunshine at times, all of the anglers held high hopes that the fish would be feeding and that weights would be reasonable.
The all in came at 9.30am and it was then that all the anglers knew that bites would be at a premium and that they would have a hard six hours in accumulating a decent weight.
Bud Chambers fishing the pole from peg 30 was the exception and at the weigh in he had caught 16lb 15oz, with two tench weighing in at 3lb 7oz each and four bream that weighed a total of 8lb 4oz.
He also had just under 2lb of bits to make his weight up.
Second place went to Jonathan Sellars from peg 2 also fishing the pole with 3lb 15oz, Jon had a 2lb 13 oz crucian carp in amongst his net of fish.
The final place was taken by Sam Appleyard from peg 26, Sam fishing the waggler weighed in with 3lb 13oz, which where all nice perch apart from one fish.
The next match for the anglers sees them fish the annual Charity Match for the Renal Cup on May 24, which half of the anglers match fees go towards a donation to the Lincoln Hospital Renal Unit. The draw is at 8am and fish 9am to 3pm.
