Sunday saw Market Rasen Angling Association’s annual pike match fished at Willingham Road, with seven anglers turning out for the 8.30am draw.

The anglers had a roving draw where they then fish the peg of their choice for the first hour, after that they are then free to roam the lake and fish any available pegs.

Weights this year were very low with only three out of the seven anglers catching pike, and all three caught two apiece, but on weight it was Ted Goulsbra who recorded a total weight of 10lb 11oz to claim the money and trophy. Second place went to Brian Hankins with 4lb 9oz and the final payout spot was taken by Pete Petts with 2lb 8oz.

This Sunday, February 23 sees the final Keyline/Wain Winter League match, draw 8.30am.
