Caistor slipped further behind the top three in Lincolnshire County League Premier with a 28-run defeat at Hartsholme on Saturday.
Having won the toss, the hosts batted first and eased to 105-2 with contributions from all of the top three.
Kieran Brooker (4 for 96) and Tim Brown (2 for 28) prompted a middle order collapse as Hartsholme slipped to 116-6.
But Caistor hopes were dashed by a swift 49 from captain Nick Wilkinson and an unbeaten 21 from Rob Thorpe as the hosts posted 207-7 from their 50 overs.
The visitors were struggling in reply at 46-3 against tight bowling from Matt Worsnop (2 for 39) and Henry Rush (1 for 19).
Jim Parker (87 not out) and Brooker (33) put on 90 for the fourth wicket, but the visitors were always behind the required rate and closed on 179-6.
Caistor stay fourth, but 49 points behind third-placed Scothern.
