Weather willing it’s game on this weekend

AFTER another snowy weekend without sport, this Saturday should see, weather permitting, Market Rasen Town involved in the Lincs Junior Cup semi-finals when they welcome Pinchbeck United from the Peterborough League to Rase Park.

Meanwhile in Rasen’s Lincs League, it’s been billed as the championship decider as high-flying leaders Cleethorpes Town travel to second placed Skegness United on Saturday.

While most sides were left kicking their heels last weekend Cleethorpes managed to arrange a friendly against Brigg Town and ran out 4-0 winners thanks to a brace of goals from Ricky Belding.

Across the resort Skegness Town are also at home, entertaining Louth Town Reserves, and hoping to avenge a 6-1 defeat.

The second strings of Boston United and Grimsby Borough cross swords at the Jakemans Stadium, while Lincoln United Reserves travel to Fulstow to take on CGB Humbertherm.

Heckington United welcome Hykeham Town to Howell Road, while Swineshead visit Nettleham.

Ruston Sports host neighbours Lincoln Moorlands Railway Reserves in the derby clash.
