FOOTBALL: Cup runs continue for Brigg and Wrawby U18s

Brigg Town U18s can look forward to a cup semi final after easing past Gonerby 3-1 in the Lincolnshire FA County U18s Cup on Sunday.

Playing on home turf, goals from Luke Bowden, Harry Cawkwell and Joe Stothard saw Brigg through this quarter final clash.

Another local U18s side eyeing up a semi final is Wrawby Rovers, who travelled to Swineshead Institute in the Jackson Workwear Trophy and came away with a 3-0 win.

Both teams will now be looking to who they have in the next round, but first Brigg Town’s U18s have to turn their attention to another cup clash.

This Sunday they welcome Alford Town U18s to the Hawthorns in Brigg at 11am for a Steve Asher Memorial Charity Cup quarter final. Brigg know Alford will be hungry for the win as they were knocked out of a cup by Newark after extra time at the weekend.
