Middle Rasen Cricket Club remain top of Lincoln and District League Division 1 despite losing to second place Heckington Cricket Club on Sunday.

Middle batted first and hit 194 for 8 from their allotted overs, Tom Boryszczuk knocking 22.

It appeared to be a respectable total, but Heckington made the chase look all too easy, reaching 194 for the loss of just two wickets.

Middle are still 28 points clear at the top of the division although Heckington can close the gap with their two games in hand.

This weekend Middle are without a game but return to action on Sunday July 28 when they face Boston Cricket Club’s Sunday 2nd XI at home. August 11 could prove crucial as Middle again face Heckington.
