Caistor Cricket Club enjoyed two victories at the weekend without a ball being bowled or a ball hit.

Alford 2nds conceded their match with Caistor 2nds and Brigg Town 1sts conceded to Caistor 3rds.

Caistor 1sts did see action away at Lincolnshire League Premier Division leaders Alford 1sts, but did not get the result they wanted, losing by 105 runs.

Caistor won the toss and elected to bowl. Most of the Alford batting line-up contributed well and set a challenging target of 219 before they were dismissed, Paul Dimbleby and Oliver Barrick taking four wickets each and Paul Ridley and Dominic Bishop picked up one each.

In reply, only opener Harry Boulton and Lane Tutty made any real impact, hitting 36 and 33 respectively. No other batsmen made it past 6 runs as Caistor were dismissed for just 114.

This weekend Caistor 1sts travel to face Alkborough 1sts while the 2nds host Messingham 2nds.
