Smaller bus may solve problem

EDITOR – If it is essential to cut costs running this service, could the operators not consider providing a smaller bus (providing this is cheaper to run), and operate a two-hourly service, which the majority of people would probably find acceptable, rather than two buses a day, which would in effect double the number of passengers on each bus, making a more viable proposition for the operators, and the community would not be totally isolated?

Why not try this for a trial period of, say, three months, and see how cost-effective it is before reducing the service to virtually nothing?
