Libraries - Focus on local issues Mr K

Mr Keimach should be the last person to comment on library affairs. He betrays his own unawareness of the realities.

I wrote an open letter to him, which was copied to three local newspapers, and he did not have the courtesy of a reply or acknowledgement.

My understanding is that Market Rasen library has in fact lost two hours per week by reducing late evening opening.

My daughter, whho was a very popular and effective librarian, was forced to relinquish her post because the library could not offer her sufficient working hours to make a living wage.

She received over 100 letters of appreciation on her leaving.

Perhaps Mr Keimach would be better to concentrate his mind and activities on dealing with real local issues rather than playing sit-on-the-fence politics.
