De Aston - Former head now a Fellow

Your readers may be interested in the success/ progress of Edward Tipper, formerly of Buslingthorpe.

Dr Edward Tipper former head of school at De Aston comprehensive, has been appointed a “ fellow” of St Johns College University of Cambridge.

Edward, youngest son of Nevele & Glennys formerly of Buslingthorpe, - attended Faldingworth Junior school, & then De Aston Comprehensive - before his degree in Earth Sciences at Magdalen College Cambridge.

After lecturing at the University of Paris, followed by the University of Zurich, - Edward is currently a lecturer at St. Andrew’s University.

Earlier this year he was appointed a permanent lecturer in the faculty of Earth Sciences at Cambridge.

Edward will commence both posts in September.
