Aiming to give writers in the Caistor area a voice and a chance to meet other writers, local resident Tim Weston has set up a writers group, with its first session next month.
“I have always enjoyed writing,” said Tim, who moved to Caistor three years ago, after spending ten years in Switzerland.
“Back in my school days, several of my pieces were performed and I am currently two-thirds through writing a speculative fiction novel.”
Sessions will be held at the town’s Arts and Heritage Centre every other week, starting on September 3, at 6pm.
The first session will be free, but will cost £2 a time thereafter.
“I’m hoping for around 14 regular members, which will split into two groups for activities,” added Tim.
“The primary purpose of the group is to be a place to discuss each other’s writing.
“Additionally, we will undertake a sequential writing exercise and I hope to arrange some guest authors, as well as a writers’ workshop in the future.”
