New Hub opens

The Wragby Community Hub has reopened and is now staffed completely by volunteers.

All will continue as previously, with the computers still available for free public use and the same wide range of books, which will by changed by the county’s library service.

Everyone who called in on the first day, whether to change books, use computers or just for a chat, was offered a cup of tea or coffee by the volunteers.

The hub will open every Wednesday and Friday, from 10am to 1pm.

Jumble - The recent jumble sale held in the town hall raised £308 for St Oswald’s Church at Rand.

The event was very well supported and thanks are expressed to all who helped on the day and turned out to rummage.

Traidcraft at Home - The annual Traidcraft at Home event at the home of Liz and Keith Stephenson at Langton by Wragby offered visitors the chance to browse the goods on sale, order items for Christmas, partake in light refreshments and enjoy each others company.

By the end of the day, a total of £1,400 was raised from purchases and orders.

Liz and her band of willing helpers give sincere thanks to all who attended.
