Swimming Club jumble and WI.

Jumble - The autumn jumble sale for the Wragby and District Swimming Club takes place in the Town Hall on Saturday October 25.

Refreshments will be served to bargain hunters as they take a break; doors open at 2pm.

Open evening - WI president Margaret Kane welcomed 25 members, including four from Langworth WI, to an open meeting, together with Nicole and Michelle of Clarins, who were present to transform one lucky person during their make up demonstration.

The ladies, based at Lincoln’s Debenhams store, kept everyone entertained as they worked and chatted explaining each stage clearly and passing samples round at the various stages.

They needed a volunteer and as there were several happy to sit back and relax as they were made even more beautiful, names had been taken, with Linda King being the lucky one to be drawn.

Michelle began by stressing the need for thorough cleansing and exfoliating and explained the various products as she used them to prepare the skin for the make up.

And the audience were able to sample the products too.

Nicole then took over to apply the make up and provide Linda with a new look, which amazed everyone as she had been transformed, the sad part being that if she followed their advice she was very soon going to have to remove it all.

Every one had been given a ‘my mini treat’ bag containing sample sizes of Clarins products together with a free raffle ticket and the lucky number drawn was owned by Margaret Fox who won a bag containing bigger sample sizes.

Those who had been the most attentive then had an opportunity to answer questions and win prizes.
