WI, Rainbows, Beavers and Burns

WI - President Margaret Kane welcomed members and guests from Bardney, Barkwith and Langworth groups to the December meeting.

The ladies enjoyed entertainment from The Withern Singers, who sang a selection of songs and performed a number of sketches around the Christmas Theme.

Vera Smart and Marilyn won the trophy at the annual darts night, arranged by the Witham Group.

Pantomine visit - Members of 1st Wragby Rainbows, Brownies and Guides enjoyed their annual trip to see a pantomime at Lincoln’s Theatre Royal.

Children have been making this trip for almost 25 years.

This year’s pantomime was Robin Hood.

Rainbows - The group had a very busy time in the run up to Christmas working on a number of challenge badges and crafts - but they ended the year with a party at Rand Farm Park.

The group has plenty planned for the coming year and still has space for a few more members.

Members must be aged five to seven.

Beavers - The 1st Wragby Beaver Unit is looking for an assistant leader.

It is a small group of boys and girls aged six to eight and they meet every Monday evening during term time.

Burns night - A Burns night supper is to be held at Wragby Town Hall on Saturday, January 25 at 7.30pm.

Traditional dishes will be served and there will be Scottish music and entertainment.

Tickets cost £6 or £3 for under 12s.
