A planning application that would have seen 42 houses built on a plot of land in Wragby has been withdrawn.
The application was made by HR Bourn & Sons to build the dwellings on the plot adjacent to Bridle Way.
After receiving 19 neighbour objection comments, the application has been withdrawn pending investigations into draining and archeology at the site.
A resident close to the site told the Rasen Mail: “I’m very pleased it has been withdrawn, but we know the fight is not over yet.
“We know we will have to fight again and expect the application to be resubmitted in future.
“I’m pleased we have a stay of execution.”
Residents expressed their concerns over the plans because the field at the proposed site is at risk of flooding.
Another homeowner said: “We have some breathing space now .
“But I’m sure we will be continuing the fight.”
