Market Rasen Business
Improvement Group has built its success on the back of volunteers - from directors to shop workers.

And with last week being National Volunteers’ Week, it was the perfect time to say a big thank you to all those involved.

“Over the past year, we have had around 60 volunteers working with us, from those helping in the shops to directors and administrators to those putting up the
market stalls” said MR BIG town centre manager Nicola Marshall.

“And today is all about saying thank you to them all.”

A lunchtime reception was held in the Advocate Arms for those who have helped with the markets and in the two MR BIG shops - Greens and
The BIG Corner Shop - both front of house and behind the scenes.

“I’d like to thank everyone here today, not just for coming for a bit of lunch - our small token of recognition - but for all you have done over the past 12 months,” MR BIG events director John Matthews told his fellow volunteers.

“There are lots of people, who give a little or lots of time and we thank you all.”

MR BIG continues to offer volunteering opportunities for all ages, in particular volunteers are currently being sought for the BIG Corner Shop.

And in the autumn, the shop hopes to open an access point, in conjunction with West Lindsey Volunteer Services, showing all the latest volunteering opportunities right across the district.
