Mega Fayre - The Mega May Fayre is fast approaching and the date is set for Saturday May 18 at Wragby Town Hall between 1pm and 5pm.

Everyone is invited to go along and enjoy a great afternoon of fun, games and bargains.

There will be stalls inside and out; games for all; tombola’s; village games; sporting events for children, food, and a licenced bar.

There will then be a family disco and karaoke from 7pm to 10pm.

Raffle tickets are now on sale with first prize of £150.

All proceeds will go to support Girlguiding and Scouting in Wragby.

Wragby Film Society - The next film to be shown at Wragby Town Hall will be “The Caine Mutiny” tonight, Wednesday April 24, starting at 7pm and everyone will be made welcome.

Picnic in the Park this year will be held on July 13, at Wragby Town Hall.

“Showboat” is the selected film, staring Kathryn Grayson, Howard Keel and Ava Gardner.

Bowls Club - The spring jumble sale raised an amazing £505 for funds.

A big thank you is extended to all who supported and everyone who helped on the day for giving their time and the many donations of goods for the stalls and prizes.

Gardeners’ outing - Geoff Hamilton’s Barnsdale is the venue for the first coach outing of the season for members and friends of the Community Gardeners Club, which takes place on May 12.

They will also be calling at the Downtown superstore.

Seats can be booked at the next meeting of the club or with Carole Watts on 01673 858165.

East Barkwith

Gardeners - Well-known horticultural expert Andrew Sankey will be speaking at the next meeting of the Gardeners Association, in the village hall on Friday, April 26, at 7.30pm.

All are welcome to what is the last indoor meeting of the season, as plans are made for travelling around during the summer months.

There is also the chance to take a nostalgic trip of previous outings at a picture show being held in Wragby Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, April 30, at 7pm.


Garden talk - Rachel Petherham of Catkin Flowers will give a talk on How to Grow a Cutting Garden at the Gardening Club meeting in the village hall at 7.30pm tonight, Wednesday, April 24.


Coffee - A charity coffee evening will be held by the Joint PCC of the Owmby Group in the village hall on Tuesday, April 30, at 7.30pm.

There will be a cake stall, raffle and tombola, with 
proceeds going to Lincoln County Hospital Oncology Department.


Bingo - Its eyes down for a session of the regular fortnightly bingo this Saturday, April 27, in the village hall.

Doors open at 6.30pm and eyes down at 7.30pm.
