Update: Lincolnshire Police have today (July 21) renewed their appeal for witnesses to a fatal incident in North Thoresby earlier this month, and they have said that they are ‘still hoping’ to trace a female who was driving a small, blue car in the area at the time.
Police have today (July 12) confirmed that a 65-year-old male cyclist has died following a collision in North Thoresby last week.
As reported previously, the pedal cyclist - who was local to the area - collided with a stationary Mercedes parked on Ludborough Road at around 3.10pm on Friday July 8.
He was airlifted to Queens Medical Centre with serious injuries, but sadly passed away on July 10.
Formal ID procedures need to take place before police can formally name the victim.
The cause of death also needs to be formally established, in case a medical episode or other circumstances occurred prior to the collision.
The police are still appealing for witnesses to the incident and, in particular, they are keen to trace a female who was driving a small blue car nearby at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 239 of July 8.
