Year 13 students at De Aston School practised their cooking skills in preparation for heading off to university as part of an inter-tutor set ‘Masterchef’ competition.

Each tutor set divided up into groups to set about their
culinary creations and the dishes were judged by members of staff who selected a group from each tutor set to make it through to the final of the competition.

Guest judge, school governor Mr Matthews, joined the panel for the ‘Masterchef Final’ where it was the chocolate soufflé baked by Fred Fenwick, Thomas Crawford and Ruari Williams which clinched the prize and they were presented with a ‘Student Nosh’ cookbook to take to university with them.
