The Holton le Moor man killed in a collision on the A631 near Ludford on October 17 has been named by police as 66-year-old Robert Byatt.
Police were called to the incident at 3.49pm after the Suzuki DC650 motorbike the man was riding collided with an Audi Q7.
The air ambulance attended, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Audi, a woman from North Elkington, was shocked but unhurt.
Insp Simon Heads said: “Initial investigations of the incident suggest there was a motorcycle heading towards Market Rasen overtaking a series of vehicles.”
Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to call the collision hotline on 01522 558855.
Police especially want to trace the driver of a box van travelling along the A631 towards Market Rasen who may have been overtaken by the motorbike shortly prior to the collision.
