The A46 at Dunholme has reopened after four-hour closure following a serious crash involving a car and a pedestrian this morning (Friday, January 22).
The incident was reported at 7.19am at the junction with Ashing Lane.
The male pedestrian, who was seriously injured, has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Details are still being gathered in relation to his condition.
The A46 was closed in a number of places in the area and road users were asked to avoid the area if possible, especially during rush hour traffic.
