Middle Rasen man suffers serious injuries in collision

A 46-year-old man from Middle Rasen suffered serious injuries following a collision on the A46 in the village last night, Thursday March 13.

The incident took place at around 10pm and involved an Audi A3, driven by a 28-year-old woman from Lincoln, and a Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by the Middle Rasen man.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with suspected fractures to both legs, ribs one arm and possible spinal injuries. He was quickly transferred to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where he remains on the major trauma unit. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101.
