Lincolnshire County Council is asking people to comment on what improvements they would like to see in rail services in the county - including Market Rasen.
The Department for Transport (DfT) is re-letting the East Midlands rail franchise in 2018 and has asked the county council what improvements we would like to see.
The franchise includes the following train services in Lincolnshire: Lincoln–Nottingham-Leicester; Skegness–Grantham–Nottingham; Norwich–Grantham–Liverpool; Peterborough–Sleaford–Lincoln–Doncaster; Grimsby/Cleethorpes–Market Rasen–Lincoln–Newark North Gate.
Coun Richard Davies, Executive Member for Transport at the County Council, says: “We have a great opportunity to put forward some ideas which could significantly improve rail provision in our county. We want to hear what improvements would encourage local residents to hop on a train.”
“More regular trains with extra capacity, improved connections, better Sunday services, faster journeys and more comfortable carriages with Wi-Fi are just some of our thoughts.
