Market Rasen Children’s Centre celebrated their fifth birthday with a free family fun day at their Kilnwell Road site.
Games, jugglers, face painting and picnics all added to the fun of the day as children and adults had fun in the sun.
It was also a chance to see the facilities at the centre and sign up for the many courses and activities they provide on a day to day basis.
“We all know the most difficult job in the world is to be a parent,” said Gary Fenwick, Children’s Services Team Manager.
“The Children’s Centre is a place any parent with a child aged 0 to 5 can come along and get the support they need for any issue.”
Currently the centre has more than 300 families registered with them - giving more than 1,000 members.
And as well as the emotional support every parent needs, there is also support with things like benefits through the outreach services from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
“We want to give children the best possible start in life and help them to school readiness,” added Mr Fenwick, who managers the nine centres across West Lindsey, including the Binbrook centre just across the district border.
Current activities include Peep sessions, rhyme time, Soup You short course, baby cafe drop in and ‘That Friday Feeling’
