A MARKET Rasen boy seems to have fundraising for a sight charity licked.
Ciaran Dalton has been collecting used stamps for the RNIB and, since appearing in the Rasen Mail in January has sent off 3kg worth to the charity.
Now his collecting has been given an extra boost with a donation of albums, containing stamps going back to Victorian times.
A special label has been received to forward them to the RNIB and it is expected they will be sold on as albums.
“We would like to thank everyone who has taken stamps to both school and Style Studio,” said Ciaran’s grandma Sandra Tindall, who inspired her young grandson to get collecting.
Last year, the RNIB raised £12,000 with stamp collections and it is hoped by the end of March this figure will be around the £15,000 mark.
And Ciaran will be able to add a few more stamps to his collection next week as it is his sixth birthday, so there are sure to be some envelopes dropping through his door on that day.
