The Rotary Club of Brigg will be running its popular sponsored walk from Brigg Market Square on Sunday, July 12, starting at 10.30am.
This year, proceeds will help two charities that support vulnerable or sick children who live in North Lincolnshire – St Andrew’s Hospice, Grimsby, and the local branch of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Both charities have seen an increasing demand on their services over the last two years, which is why the Rotary Club is asking walkers, joggers and runners to gain sponsorship to take part.
Runners and joggers will leave first, with walkers following on close behind.
The route, either six or nine miles, will take them from Brigg Market Place to the scenic and tranquil Scawby Park, including parts of the park not normally open to the general public.
Sponsorship forms are available at Brigg Tourist Information Centre or by calling or texting 07850 304517.
