Ronald Potter

The funeral service for Ronald Potter, aged 87 years of Middle Rasen, was held at the Methodist Church.

The Rev Marty Presdee officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall of Market Rasen.

Ron was born in North Carlton, Lincoln.

From leaving school until 1979, he worked as a farmer at Rand near Wragby.

He then moved to Middle Rasen and continued farming until he retired.

During the 1990s, Ron bred British Simmental Cattle, showing prize winners at the Lincolnshire Show.

During the World War Two he was part of the Homeguard.

Ron was an active member of the methodist Church at both Wragby and Middle Rasen.

He was a keen gardener and a member of the Middle Rasen Horticultural Society.
