A KEEN eye for things out of place has won a Market Rasen girl a cash prize.
Romany Andrew took part in the odd-one-out competition held at the Open Gardens and Summer Market event recently and came out on top.
The 11-year-old correctly identified 30 of the 31 items featured in the town’s shop windows that are not sold on those particular premises.
And she was rewarded for her eagle-eyed efforts with a £30 prize, sponsored by Lincolnshire Co-op.
“It took me about an hour to do, but it was really good,” said Romany, as she collected her winnings from competition organiser Laurie Povey and event chairman Derek Anderson.
“We had a reasonable number of children taking part in the competition and everyone seemed to enjoy it,” said Mr Povey.
“There has also been lots of positive feedback from the retailers, so we will certainly look at running a similar competition for next year’s event.”
