A Kingerby man has been appointed a deputy lieutenant of Lincolnshire.
David Chambers was appointed by the lord lieutenant of Lincolnshire, Tony Worth, in recognition of his service to the community.
Mr Chambers is chairman of Lincolnshire construction company Lindum Group.
He is chairman of Lincoln Cathedral Turrets Appeal, director of Investors in Lincoln and a trustee of Lincoln Heritage Trust.
In the past Mr Chambers has been chairman of Business Link Lincolnshire, a director of Lincolnshire Training and Enterprise Council and treasurer of Lincolnshire Institute of Directors.
Mr Chambers will now be expected to support the lord lieutenant, carry out public duties and attend civic events.
