A charity golf tournament, held by one of Britain’s leading recycling businesses, ECO Plastics based at Hemswell Cliff, has raised £2,000.

More than 30 employees and customers teed off at Forest Pines near Brigg to raise the money for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

All the money raised will go directly to the medical air service and the maintenance of its MD 902 Explorer helicopter, which flies up to 1,000 missions each year.

Jonathan Short, Deputy Chairman of the firm said: “ECO Plastics is proud to support the air ambulance and the wonderful work they do. It’s very rewarding for us play a part in their efforts to keep this vital service operating.”

Emma Young, Lincolnshire Fundraiser at Air Ambulance, said: “This generous donation is a terrific example of ECO Plastics’ commitment to the local community. They raised a significant amount of money to help keep us flying.”
