The agent representing Lissington landowner David Nelstrop, who wishes to build up to 150 houses south of Market Rasen, will appear before the town council tonight.

Market Rasen Town Council’s planning committee will hear Robert Doughty Consultancy present public feedback and further details of the development proposals which were revealed to the public at a meeting on July 24.

David Nelstrop said councillors would ask questions about his plans for the homes off Linwood Chase, but was unsure whether he would also attend tonight’s meeting himself.

The committee, which starts at 6pm in the Festival Hall, will also consider plans to demolish a former chapel and construct six houses on land between 27 and 31 Union Street.

It will also look at proposals for a new access road to Market Rasen Cricket Club on Gallamore Lane.

Plans to demolish the existing detached daycare building at The Poplars in Chapman Street and construct a new single-storey daycare building with eight extra bedrooms, lounge, dining and serving areas will also be discussed.

Town council recommendations will then be passed on to West Lindsey District Council for it to make a final decision.

A meeting of the full town council will follow at 7pm.
