Three of Market Rasen’s car parks are to close for ‘essential maintenance work’.
West Lindsey District Council has announced Mill Road, John Street and Festival Hall car parks will need to close for a programme of repair and maintenance work.
In order to carry out the work it will be necessary for each car park in turn to be completely emptied of vehicles.
The authority says it is giving motorists advanced notice that it will need to close the car parks.
Exact dates of when the work will be carried out will be announced in due course.
The car parks that will be affected are all council- owned.
WLD’s prosperous communities committee chairman Coun Owen Bierley said: “We would like to give motorists enough notice about the work scheduled to be carried out.
“The council has observed that some vehicles do not appear to have moved for some time and these will be required to move for this work to take place.
“If they are not moved when requested, the council will have them removed and will ‘seek costs in recovery’.
“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but the maintenance of the car parks is essential.”
