West Lindsey District Council is investigating reports of a home-based car washing business in Market Rasen.
The business, said to have operated in Lancaster Drive, was raised at this month’s meeting of Market Rasen Town Council.
Town councillor James Patton said he had received a complaint about the business from someone who lived close to the alleged operation.
“A dozen photographs showed a dozen different cars being washed,” he told the meeting.
Coun Patton told the Rasen Mail after the meeting that the resident may simply be washing cars for family members but the district council was looking into it.
“We are aware of the issue, it has been reported to us and it is being dealt with in line with the council’s enforcement policy.
“No additional information can be provided as this is an open and ongoing case,” West Lindsey’s Housing and Communities Team Manager, Andy Gray, confirmed.
