Voters views sought on polling proposals

Voters throughout West Lindsey are being asked if they are satisfied with the venue of their current polling station.

A review of polling districts and polling places is currently underway and the district council is particularly interested in offering reasonable facilities for both able bodied and disabled voters.

“In reality this is not always possible and we have little choice about premises which are fully accessible or indeed conveniently located for voters in the area,” said Coun Jeff Summers, Leader of the Council.

“However, we are conducting a review of all polling places and paying particular attention to availability of parking and disabled parking as well as the approaches to buildings in terms of non-slip surfaces, gradients and lighting.”

Written comments from the public are now being invited and must be received before Friday, February 28.
