Prospective Parliamentary Candidate John Saxon is being joined by UKIP MEP Margot Parker, small business spokesperson, as the campaign hots up ahead of next month’s election.
Mrs Parker will be visiting the West Lindsey area this Saturday, April 25, starting at Gainsborough and then on to Market Rasen, accompanied by supporters and UKIP members, including John Saxon.
“I returned to Gainsborough, after 20 years, and my first impression was that nothing had changed other than Marshall’s Yard,” said Mr Saxon.
“In times of ‘austerity’ cuts to public services have little effect on the wealthy, but a devastating effect on ordinary people especially the elderly, disabled and those unable to find work.
“Regeneration starts with giving people hope that things can and will improve. Not increasing zero hour contracts, giving politicians, senior managers and bankers huge pay rises and losing public money in poor investments.”
After serving in the RAF, he became a successful businessman, establishing and developing two of the most acclaimed Enterprise Agencies in South Yorkshire, before spending a number of years in France with his wife, Jan.
Saturday’s planned visit will start at 11am at Gainsborough’s Marshall’s Yard and then travel on past Hemswell Cliff, the proposed, controversial, wind farm site, before ending the afternoon, after a light lunch, in Market Rasen.
