Brigg MP Andrew Percy has been invited to join the speaker’s panel, which helps keep order during debates in the House of Commons. It will mean a pay rise for the MP.
Members normally receive a £3,000 pay rise in the first year, increasing to £8,000 the following year.
Market Rasen and Caistor MP Edward Leigh is already on the panel.
Mr Percy was elected for a second term to represent the Brigg and Goole constituency at the May 2015 election, increasing his majority over Labour.
He was first elected in 2010, when he succeeded Labour’s Ian Cawsey as Brigg’s representative in Parliament.
