New town councillors to clean up stagnant Rasen

THREE new councillors have been co-opted onto Market Rasen Town Council following the authority’s meeting last Wednesday.

Graham Bower, Michael Kirby and Martin Harvey were appointed to the council having each made a presentation to its members.

Mr Bower, who has lived in Market Rasen for six years said he wanted to make a difference to the town and get projects moving.

He said: “The town seems to be stagnant and I want to se if I can do something about it.

“I would like to see more shops opening and the market rejuvenated, at the moment we have not got a market, we have two stalls and that’s it.

“I think once we got them here they will probably stay, I want a thriving market and high street.”
