Market Rasen Mayor John Matthews is standing again for town mayor.
The election of the mayor tops a busy agenda of 57 items at tonight’s meeting of Market Rasen Town Council at Festival Hall’s Committee Room.
The meeting, starting at 7pm, and will also include electing a deputy mayor, plus appointing members to a variety of town committees, and working groups.
Members will also consider co-opting members of the public onto the town council since it has four vacancies to fill as just eight existing town councillors put themselves forward for re-election this year.
The structure of the council committees will also be reviewed along with council assets, plus its priorities for the coming year.
There will also be a 20 minute public forum, which will include a presentation from Lincolnshire Police.
Council policies on dealing with the media and the recording and filming of meetings will also be considered.
