Easier move to market for groups

A change in North Lincolnshire Council’s Markets Policy has occurred which should make it easier for local voluntary groups to obtain permits for events.

The new policy will affect local craft markets, car boot sales and charity events in particular.

Where these events involve more than five stalls or pitches either at an inside or outdoor event then a permit under the auspices of the Markets Policy will be required.

There will be no charge for the permit if the event is being held for charitable or for not for profit purposes.

The relevant form can be downloaded from the North Lincolnshire Council website.

Those organising such events can also contact Brigg town clerk Jeanette Woollard.
