AS THE big freeze continues, the county’s gritting staff have received a special blessing on behalf of the Bishop of Lincoln.
At the North Willingham depot, Market Rasen New Life Pastor Paul Hiley led the prayer ceremony and met some of the staff.
“On behalf of all the churches and the community as a whole, I thank you all for the work you do,” he said. “If it wasn’t for you, lives would be lost.”
And site supervisor Dennis Skayman said the depot had been working flat out to cope with the extreme conditions.
