Good weather saw the crowds turnout for this year’s Summer Market and Open Gardens on Saturday, organised by Market Rasen Rotary Club.
The Festival Hall was packed with stalls and in the committee room, with great help from nurses from the Market Rasen Doctor’s Surgery, 130 people had their blood pressure checked as part of Rotary’s Stroke Awareness campaign.
The market place offered plants and more for sale and it was also the place to pick up passes to the open gardens across the town. Volunteers from Market Rasen Station Adoption Group welcomed a steady stream of visitors to view the flower displays and artwork at the railway station, with many also making donations towards their year-on-year running costs.
And as a result of the 2014 fundraising, Steve King from Market Rasen LIVES group went along to be presented with a cheque for £500 by the Rotarians.
