To celebrate the nationwide WI Centenary, Holton le Moor WI members have provided a commemorative seat outside the Moot Hall.
As one of the first WIs to be founded in Lincolnshire, with meetings held in the Moot Hall for the past 97 years, the Institute is looking forward to celebrating its own Centenary in 2018.
Other WI groups in the area heading toward the 100-year milestone in the same year are Caistor and Nettleton & Moortown.
The WI organisation was set up to revitalise rural communities and encourage women to become more involved in producing food during World War One.
Since then its aims have broadened, and campaigning on a number of issues, such as the environment, is a big part.
So when it came to buying the bench, they went to local Glentham company, Agri.cycle Ltd to choose one made from recycled plastic.
Agri.cycle are farming plastic waste recycling specialists, who take items such as spray cans and spent shotgun cartridges, then recycle and reform the plastic into a range of outdoor furniture.
