A memorial service will take place at Wickenby Aerodrome on Sunday, September 8.
The annual service, at the Icarus Memorial, is in commemoration of those who served with 12 and 626 Squadrons at RAF Wickenby during the Second World War.
The event was originally organised by the Wickenby Register (12 and 626 Squadron Association) and has been held each year since 1981.
The Wickenby Register closed in 2011 and RAF Wickenby Memorial Collection has now taken over the task of organising the service.
The event is open to everyone and will be attended by veterans of the two squadrons and their families, ex-servicemen from other organisations, the Air Training Corps and hopefully representatives from the current 12 Squadron.
The service will commence at 3pm at the Icarus Memorial, which is situated at the gate to Wickenby Aerodrome.
After the service there will be a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (weather permitting).
