Monthly music concerts are held at St Peter’s Hall in Woodhall Spa and the first for 2016 takes place on Tuesday, January 19, when organist Paul Carman will be welcomed back.
Paul started playing at the age of 12 and, just two years later, took first prize in a arts festival, beating many semi-professional players.
Music was not his only passion and, as a keen footballer, he attended a trial at Leicester City on the same day as school friend Gary Lineker.
But he decided against a career in football and, by the age of 20, Paul was appointed demonstrator for Godwin Organs. Aged 22, he achieved his ambition of working for Yamaha.
He now works for the Orla Organ Company, but is probably best known around the country and abroad as a prolific concert performer.
His varied repertoire and easy-listening style is a firm favourite with many music lovers and his programme typically covers all genres, enhanced by his softly spoken wit and beautiful singing voice.
The concert in Woodhall Spa begins at 7.30pm, with admission £7.
