An open day showcasing what Market Rasen Festival Hall has to offer takes place this Saturday (April 23) from 10am until 3pm.
The open day is being held as part of Market Rasen Town Council’s project to refurbish the hall.
As the council prepares to bid for £400,000, it wants more people to use the facility - and therefore increase its chances of winning grant funding.
The open day will include free taster sessions in belly dancing, wrestling, keep fit, zumba, line dancing and ballroom dancing.
And there will be a puppet show, a scene performed from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, soft play, a disco and karaoke and children’s entertainment.
The day will also see members of the town’s flower club displaying their work and part of the hall will be dressed in the style of a wedding.
Designers’ plans for how the hall could look will be on display, and people are invited to take along their old photos of the hall for others to look at.
Business associate Nicola Marshall, who is leading the project on behalf of the town council, said: “It’s about showing the venue and encouraging people to use it.
“There’ll be lots going on throughout the day.
“There’s something for everybody.”
