Obituary: Maurice Chapman

It was with sadness family, friends and neighbours heard of the death of Maurice Chapman, who passed away in Lincoln, aged 82.

He was born in Burley-in-Wharfdale and from 1935-1950 the family lived at Worlaby Hall, near Brigg.

Maurice attended De Aston School from 1944-1948.

He met his wife to be, Rita, and the couple married on March 22, 1952.

Moving to Norfolk in 1957, he became farm manager of “Thornham Farms” till 1979 when he became a Haulier till he retired in 1993.

In 2000, he and Rita moved to Wragby.

He is now survived by his wife Rita, son Frederick Arthur, daughter Alison Mary Darlington nee Chapman, and grandchildren Charlotte, Harry and Jack Darlington.

The funeral took place at All Saints Church, Wragby, officiated by the Rev Mark Holden.
