Obituary: Margaret Olive Clarke


The funeral for Margaret Olive Clarke (nee Rhyder), aged 88 years of Market Rasen, was held at Lincoln Crematorium, followed by a service at St Thomas’s Church in Market Rasen.

The Rev Stephen Johnson officiated at the services and arrangements were by J Marshall.

A retired newsagent, Margaret had lived in Market Rasen for more than 22 years; she was born at Bishop Norton.

Widow of Ted (Edwin), Margaret also worked in charity shops - the British Heart Foundation at Gainsborough and Age Concern in Market Rasen.

Family mourners were: Anne Carlisle (niece); Graham Lewis, John Rhyder (nephew); David Carlisle; Jerome Lewis (brother-in-law); Gwenda Rhyder (sister-in-law); Tom Carlisle, Will Carlisle (great-nephews); Tina Stebbings (niece); Caron Rhyder; Christian Stebbings; Madge Meehan (cousin); Neil Reid, Phillip Rhyder (nephews).

Friends at the service were: Eddie Edwards; Joan Edwards (also rep Hilda Boast); Tim Walshaw; Lesley Johnson; Noreen Baxter; Mr Spilman (also rep the Spilman family); Tracey Lane (also rep Peter Lane, Samantha Lane and also Age Concern Volunteers); Carole Hogg (also rep Stuart Hogg)l; Mr Rollinson (also rep Mrs Rollinson).
