The funeral service for Joan Smith, aged 91 years, of St Lukes Nursing Home, Scothern, was held at Lincoln Crematorium.
The Rev Michael Cartwright officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall of Market Rasen.
Joan was born in Lund, east Yorkshire.
She spent her life as a farmer’s wife, moving from a farm in Yorkshire to Welton Hill in 1958.
She worked as secretary for the farm and kept her interests in farming until she died.
Joan also played the organ at Snarford Church and was a member of the WI for many years, serving as secretary and president.
She also served as a parish councillor at Welton for many years, as well as a school governor for William Farr School and on the committee of Saxon House at Welton, a home for boys who had strayed off the straight and narrow.
