The funeral service for Christine Margaret Everett, aged 84 years of Atterby, was held at Snitterby Church.

The Rev Ian Wales officiated at the service and arrangements were by J Marshall of Market Rasen.

Chris was born at Glentworth and moved with her family to Snitterby in 1941.

On leaving Huntcliff School at Kirton Lindsey, she worked as a shop assistant at Butler’s General Store in Waddingham.

After marrying John, in 1952, she became a full-time housewife and mother.

The family moved to Atterby in 1960, where Chris was a great support an help to John, and later their sons, in the running the busy family coach hire and haulage business.

Chris was a lifelong members of the Methodist Church, worshipping for many years at Snitterby Chapel and later at Bishop Norton Chapel, where she was also an organist.

She enjoyed organ music and for a short time belonged to the Lincoln Electronic Organ Society.

Chris attended whist drives and was also a member of Snitterby Women’s Institute for many years.

Following the onset of dementia, the last three years of her life were spent at Cheyne House Nursing Home at North Carlton.
