Brigg Town Council nominated a number of local groups and individuals for this year’s North Lincolnshire Community Champion Awards and some have made it on to the final shortlist.
Chris Darlington was nominated for his tireless work in the Brigg community of Brigg, in particular his work with LIVES, Briggstock, Brigg Town Business Partnership, Live Arts in Brigg and through the Rotary Club.
He is a finalist in the Adult Male Volunteer of the year.
Brigg LIVES First Responders is one of two finalists for the Outstanding Contribution to a Safer Community award.
They were nominated for their work in the community and for their drive to put defibrillators into Brigg.
Also nominated by the town council were Brigg and District Netball Club, Josie Webb and Chris Robinson.
In total, 144 nominations were received by North Lincolnshire Council for the 22 categories of awards, with the winners announced at an award ceremony at the Baths Hall on November 26.
